Art Workshop

On a Saturday Winter morning, parents and children transform the Roslyn Trinity Cooperative Day School into a warm, creative playground. At the annual pre-school Art Workshop, students engage in a wide variety of artistic activity. Students, their guests, and parents spend the morning exploring different facets of the world of art through the use of different mediums and themes. From paper bag puppets and Valentines to magnetic frames and edible necklaces, the students and parents are all proud of the children's work.

Guest Day

Grandparents, aunts, uncles and special friends join the children of the Co-op for Guest Day. The children spend the morning showing their special guests some of the activities that they enjoy on a typical school day. Activities include: Storybook reading, block building, easel painting, playing in the gym and sharing a snack together. Guests are able to experience the children's special preschool world and all that is gained by exploring, learning and socializing. Guest Day is held twice a year.

Pancake Breakfast

Faculty, children and their parents gather to celebrate at the Annual Fall Pancake Breakfast. In addition to enjoying breakfast with one another, the children dance and sing to live music. Each year the Pancake Breakfast not only gives the children a good opportunity to interact with their friends and teachers outside the classroom, it also provides the parents with a chance to meet one another at a social event.

Casino Night

Casino Night is the most important fundraiser and
social event of the year. Member parents, teachers,
alumni, family and friends enjoy an evening of
"gambling", raffles, a silent auction, dinner and
dessert at a local venue.

Mom's Night Out

This special evening is enjoyed by Co-op moms and
teachers who gather at an area restaurant for an
evening filled with shopping, raffles, dinner and dancing.

Yearly Donations to Charity

Our children learn an important lesson in empathy, sharing, and community awareness during our annual food, coat and shoe drives. Through the generosity of Co-op families, hundreds of shoes have been collected and sent to Kibera, Africa, to help impoverished children and adults. Families gather and bring in bags filled with warm coats, and food to be donated to local charities, such as the Long Island Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN). The INN operates homeless shelters and soup kitchens throughout Long Island and was delighted to receive many bags containing well over 100 adult's and children's coats. The yearly Coat Drive and Food Drive (held before Thanksgiving), are two hugely successful events that enable Roslyn Trinity Cooperative Day School students and families to give back to their community.
