Our Director

Lindi Nubel has been the director of the Roslyn Trinity Co-op since 1995. Prior to becoming director, she taught Two's Company at the Co-op for seven years. Her teaching experience also includes Preschool, Kindergarten, and Special Education.

Lindi holds a B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, and has a Master's Degree in Special Education with a permanent NYS Teaching Certificate for Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1-6, and Special Education. She has been in the field of education for 34 years and continues to attend early childhood seminars, conferences, and workshops.

A member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, Lindi has been called upon to speak at local agencies regarding topics related to child development and early childhood education. She shares her wealth of knowledge and her love of the field of early childhood education with the Co-op parents via her daily interactions, parent workshops and weekly Friday Notes. Her office door is always open to parents.

Teachers

Our professionally trained preschool teachers are of the highest quality. As early childhood professionals, they provide a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment for every child. They create and foster a positive teacher-child relationship with each child in their care.

All faculty members are members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). They regularly attend conferences, workshops and take in-service courses in the field of early childhood education. They adhere to all regulations, policies and procedures established by the New York State Education Department and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.

All head teachers write a monthly note to parents informing them of the monthly goals and objectives of their program, special activities, recipes, songs and other pertinent information to keep parents informed. Two parent-teacher conferences are scheduled per year, but there is ongoing communication between parents and Co-op faculty. Parents are also able interact with teachers on their Participation Day. Teachers communicate via telephone calls or meetings whenever requested or needed.
