HOME VISIT

At the Co-op, every student receives a special home visit from the classroom teacher
before the beginning of school. The home visit has been a Co-op tradition for decades.
The time together is spent enjoying various activities and learning about each other. Some of the activities include reading a special book that the children will see in their new classroom and coloring a piece of art work that will be displayed the first day of school.
This experience provides a wonderful opportunity for each child to meet his or her teacher in the comfortable surroundings of home.

"My daughter was so excited that her new teacher actually came to her house to meet her in person and even played for a while. They planted lima beans together that day and we still have the plant in our kitchen window! Whenever we check on it or water it we are reminded of that day...What a nice memory!"
